Stage 1 - Planning
The degree of success
of your web site depends on proper planning, not only on our behalf but also on
yours. It makes no sense to waste valuable time and money by rushing to get your
site online, just to have a web presence. A good site will maintain and increase
customer loyalty, a bad site will push your customers to your competitors.
Before we meet, we ask you to assess your needs, objectives, and preferences up front, so we
can accurately pinpoint what direction you want your
online business to take. We will send you a
questionnaire which will help provide us with an insight
as to what you you wish to accomplish.
Stage 2 - Meeting / Working Together
Our
first meeting is one of the most important meetings we
will have. It is our time to get to know you, to listen
to what you would like to accomplish, and to get a feel
for how you would like your company's image relayed on
the Internet. (It is imperative at this stage that ALL
decision making participants are available.) During this
meeting we will ask you questions and conduct a mini
survey. It is our way of defining your concept, needs,
and financial capability. We also encourage you to ask
us many questions. We know that in the Internet world
there are many different client needs and demands. If at
the end of the meeting our services and fees are
agreeable and you decide to proceed we will proceed with
Stage 2:
Stage 3 - Development
The
development stage is a combination of many aspects. This
is the stage where we begin working on your site and
when your input and approvals are most important. At the
end of Stage 3 the client will be presented with the
first two proto-type pages on how the site is scheduled
to look and function. The development of the site
occurs in three areas:
Structural Development
Graphical
Development
Technical
Development
-
Outsourced
backend implementation - appropriate affiliate
companies contacted as needed.
-
Search Engine
Optimization - determination
of (meta tag) search terms and copy to use to describe
your site to search engines.
-
Conduct
an Internet based analysis of your competitor's web
site and related industry sites.
Stage
4 - Mass Production / Proofing
Mass
production is the stage when everything gets put
together into one complete package, better known as your
web site. This is the stage when we dig in and mass
produce the pages of information your customers are
dying to read.
Proofing
is probably one of the least exciting, yet most
important elements in making a site presentable. If
you've ever been to a web site with broken links,
graphic images that don't appear or spelling mistakes,
you know what we're talking about. By the time the
proofing stage is over your web site will be squeaky
clean and ready for Stage 5, the release stage.
Stage
5 - Hosting / Testing / Final Review / Launch
This
is the stage when we help you determine your web hosting
needs and provide you with options. Also, before
your site goes live to the public we do one final test.
This is the stage when you, the client, have a chance to
make any final changes before the site goes live.
Launching
has to be the most exciting step of all the steps. It is
the day when all the hard work put in by everyone gets
seen by your customers, and when you begin actively
conducting business on the internet. But the word launch
doesn't mean that development is over. For a site to
keep its momentum it needs to constantly be updated. The
moment your site becomes static is the moment your
customers will click on your competitors page. We
encourage and applaud continuous development on your
site, whether it is done by your staff or ours.
Remember, change and speed are the only constant
elements of the Internet and imperative to maintaining
your customers!
